Taken a step back and thought wow. WTF am I doing. Yesterday was one of them in the best way possible. Working with pivot I ended up meeting Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows and am now helping him with a CMJ event out here in NY.
This is really cool not only because holy crap it’s the dude who sang mr. jones, but also because he’s really passionate about independent music integrating with social media. Now THIS would be something I’d dedicate life to. Helping people discover new music, build communities online around bands that deserve coverage and don’t get it. The industry is so messy and with technology like social media there’s really a possibility.
Introduced us to this band Hey Marseilles who’s going to be here on Friday for the event. Seattle based folk band, like a mumford & sons meets airborne toxic event and way more rawww.
